Split Pea Soup


500g Pride Green split peas
1.5l Chicken Stock
1 large Onion
100g Pride Kidney Beans
200g Bacon
Salt & Pepper to taste


– Coarsely chop onion and bacon. Saute together until onions become translucent
– Add Pride green split peas and Pride kidney beans and sauté for another minute
– Add chicken stock and bring to the boil
– Boil for half an hour
– Puree the soup and simmer for another hour until it thickens
– Garnish with Pride kidney beans and freshly chopped chives
