Phyllo Cigars with Cheddar and Split Peas

Ingredients:

6 Sheets Phyllo Pastry
80ml Butter
250ml Cheddar Cheese
1 Green Pepper
250ml Pride Green Split Peas

Method:

Make a Filling:

– Boil the Pride green split peas until they are soft and tender
– Grate the cheddar cheese and chop the pepper into small dizes
– Allow everything to cool then add all the ingredients

Pastry:

– Brush butter onto phyllo square layering 3 on top of each other
– Place a spoon of a filling in a centre and fold the phyllo neatly in with butter to seal all folds
– Bake it at 200 degrees Celsius for 20 min
– Serve them warm
