Chilli Con Carne


1 Onion, finely chopped
1 clove Garlic
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Red Chilli, finely chopped
500g lean Beef Mince
250ml chopped Tomatoes (tin)
50g Tomato Paste
1 Pride Kidney Beans soaked overnight
Half a tsp Cayenne Pepper
Half a tsp Paprika
Half a tsp Cajun Spice
Half a tsp Cumin Powder
Salt & Pepper to taste


– Heat oil in pan
– Place onion in pan and sauté until soft and shiny
– Add garlic, chillie and sauté until cooked
– Add mince into pan and cook until completely browned
– Simmer for a few min
– Add tomato paste and chopped tomatoes
– Add all spices and simmer until most of the liquid is evaporated
– Add Pride kidney beans to mixture and cook until beans are just cooked
